Sainte-Hélène solar farm: three fires detected
Astech Sécurité monitors a solar farm in Sainte-Hélène (France) with Vigithermal thermal cameras. In August 2026 the system detected three fires; each time, the alert allowed the fire brigade to be called out.
- 8 August 2026In the evening the thermal camera reads up to 421 °C. Smoke shows on the optical cameras; fire engines appear on the footage from 9.11 pm.
- 12 August 2026Hot spot at 271 °C detected on a row of panels at 12.45 pm, followed by a plume of smoke visible from the farm.
- 19 August 2026Fire detected at 1.32 pm (165 °C). The fire brigade responds on site; the video below shows their vehicles.

Wind farm construction site: a theft attempt in the middle of the night
At the site compound of a wind farm under construction, our Totema autonomous camera detectors filmed the intruders as soon as they arrived: a vehicle with headlights on, an attempt to get into the containers, then further detections during the night. Every detection is time-stamped and sent in real time.

An intrusion spotted and tracked automatically
At 5.31 pm, the thermal camera’s video analytics spot a person climbing over a site fence near the cable drums and track them automatically. Artificial intelligence tells a person from an animal or a vehicle, which keeps false alarms down.
